For violence or abuse, call the police at 999 immediately!
For other complaints about your employer, you can call the government's Labour Department 24- hour hotline at +852 2717 1771 or +852 2157 9537 (exclusive line for foreign domestic helpers)
For immigration problems, you can call the Immigration Department at +852 2824 6111
If you have been cheated, you can call the police at 18222 for help. If it is urgent, call the police at 999.
Pregnancy
If you are pregnant, you need to see a doctor to get a letter confirming you are pregnant and also when you are expected to give birth. You can find a list of the public hospitals and clinics here. You need to tell your employer about your pregnancy and show them this letter.
Your employer cannot sack you because of your pregnancy. Your employer must give you 14 weeks of paid leave if you have worked for at least 40 weeks before the start of your maternity leave. Your maternity leave can start between 2 and 4 weeks before you give birth.
